Slow Shaving with Carl Honore

Slow

You might have heard of Slow Food - the reaction to bland, soulless ‘fast food’. Since Slow Food launched three decades ago it’s been joined, slowly, by a whole movement of Slow - from slow journalism, to slow sex, to slow cities.

Carl Honore is a world ambassador for the Slow Movement and an award winning journalist whose TED talk has been viewed nearly two million times. He's published In Praise Of Slow and recently The Slow Fix.

That’s something that we at Thomas Clipper really resonate with. Our kind of shaving is usually more considered, more enjoyable and more relaxing. Slow shaving perhaps?

As Carl explains though, the slow life isn't about doing things at a snail's pace: sometimes speed is great. Instead it's about knowing the right speed to do things at, and it's been described leading to a life that's ‘healthier, happier and less stressful’.

Given that we're putting the finishing touches on a Kickstarter campaign (somewhat stressful work!) our conversation with Carl couldn't have come at a better time...
