Thomas Clipper's Terra Firma fragrance for men as recommended in British GQ

British GQ recommend Terra Firma

British GQ have added us to their 2023 list of 'The best men’s aftershaves and fragrances for sensual success'.

It's big news for us as an independent brand, so thank you to the whole British GQ team and to everyone who helped bring Terra Firma to life - not least our fantastic Kickstarter backers and loyal customers.

British GQ start by introducing Thomas Clipper, saying "This Independent British fragrance house specialises in handcrafted small-batch scents produced in the UK but developed in Grasse, the perfumery capital of the world." - very true indeed, thank you British GQ!

Then it's on to the fragrance itself, with the team summing up the marine inspiration of the scent:

"Vegan (like all the other Thomas Clipper scents), it's inspired by the feeling of making landfall after a long sea voyage and is both fresh and invigorating."

Finally they dive into the scent profile in some great depth:

"Made with 100 per cent organic alcohol, it opens with a fruity zing of elemi, pink pepper and hints of pineapple and pear; vibrant, energetic and full of vitality. The next act showcases aquatic heart notes balanced by lavandin, black pepper and clary sage, before drifting into a lingering and comforting base of tonka bean, amber, moss, woody notes and musk."

As if this wasn't enough, we were delighted to see British GQ's summary of our newest and freshest scent yet:

"An artisanal, marine/green eau de toilette that is versatile and full of refined and timeless elegance."

If you've not had a chance to experience Terra Firma yet, this is the perfect time to do so. It's available in our updated Discovery Set, or if you're convinced by the recommendation of some of the most refined noses in the business you can also pick up a full size bottle, which is at a fantastic discount at time of publication.
